New Activwing
This new two-stage airfoil design uses aerodynamic forces to better stabilize the club head on the downswing. The new ActivWing helps to place the club face in the optimal hitting position, making it easier for you to hit the sweet spot and improve ball speed.
BiFlex Face
In the upper corners of the toe and heel of the BiFlex Face, each side has its own unique edge shape. The toe edge is stretched and rounded, while the heel edge is narrow and sharp. These geometries adapt the strength of the edge specifically to the structural requirements of each side and extend the high COR range of the clubface. The BiFlex Face acts as a strong frame around the highly flexible clubface and reinforces strategically precise areas to optimize speed across the entire clubface.
Rebound Frame
The Rebound Frame uses alternating layers of stiff and flexible zones to improve overall COR and create a spring-in-a-spring effect. The XXIO 13 drivers feature a rebound frame with a flat cup face for even more power on shots across the face.
Flat Cup Face
To improve COR across the entire face, the flat cup face has a larger, thinner center section. This design allows for increased ball speed and distance no matter where you hit the ball. The driver face is made from special Super-TIX® 51AF titanium for an even thinner, faster face.
6-Segment Bulge and Roll
To keep the ball in play on every shot, the clubface has been divided into six segments, each with its own bulge and roll. This segmented shaping counteracts off-course trajectories in all directions. Whether you hit the ball high, low, toe or heel, the face adds spin to the ball to keep it straighter and carry further.
Weight Plus
The proprietary design of the handle positions the mass in the grip end of the shaft. This counterweight makes for an easier takeaway and helps you find the ideal point at the top of your upswing, facilitating release on the downswing for more consistent contact.
