Men's golf shoes: what makes golf shoes stand out
Golf shoes have a long tradition. The first golf shoes for men were developed as early as the middle of the 19th century. For the pioneers of the sport, a golf shoe not only had to offer support and comfort, but was also a natural part of an upscale outfit and its elegant style. Today, golf is accessible to a wider audience and many well-known manufacturers serve the market for men's golf shoes with a wide variety of models. A good pair of golf shoes is simply part of the equipment.
Buying golf shoes: What matters
Special shoes for golf? For sure. A golf swing is complex and involves the whole body in the sequence of movements. What's more, a round of golf involves covering many kilometers. With such a distance and demanding movements, suitable footwear is highly recommended. In addition to comfort on the foot, a modern golf shoe for men should fulfill numerous other functions and meet many requirements. Good golf shoes for men are waterproof and breathable. An EVA midsole should also provide cushioning to relieve pressure on the joints and spine. Furthermore, the sole of the golf shoe must offer secure grip on all surfaces.
When buying golf shoes, you should also pay more attention to other features, depending on how you play. Golf shoes with spikes can provide good grip on damp or uneven surfaces and slopes. However, shoes without spikes can also offer advantages in off-road terrain with special features. Men's golf shoes: tips for buying golf shoes for men
Traditionally, the upper and lining of men's golf shoes are made of leather. Leather has special properties, adapts well to the foot and is hard-wearing. In general, special synthetic materials are often used in the midsole area to cushion the impact on the foot and joints during movement and to support the swing. Depending on the nature of the surface, spikes or a deep sole profile may be necessary to ensure a secure grip and optimum movement. Golf shoes with spikes are often preferable to a sole with a profile or studs, as the latter cannot always provide the best possible grip on wet greens.
