TaylorMade, a golf equipment company founded in 1979 in Carlsbad, California, by sales representative Gary Adams and now operating under the umbrella of sporting goods manufacturer Adidas, markets golf products such as Taylor Made golf clubs, TaylorMade golf balls, TaylorMade golf bags and golf accessories such as golf caps, gloves and umbrellas.
TaylorMade changed golf with a single, innovative product. It was a 12-degree stainless steel driver that performed far better in terms of distance and feel than the drivers being played at the time. This success was followed by other groundbreaking inventions over the years, all of which meet the needs and desires of golfers of all levels. Today TaylorMade convinces with high-quality and performance-strong golf clubs, in which the club forge develops innovative technologies for drivers, fairway woods, hybrid clubs, irons and putters.
